For nearly 100 years, Temple Theatre has been a part of the Sanford community - providing entertainment for the Central North Carolina region and an artistic home for Broadway veterans, local artists, aspiring performers and talented youth.

The mission of Temple Theatre, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is to entertain, enlighten, educate and enrich through the performing arts. Approximately 65% of our revenue is from ticket sales. The remainder comes from local and state grants, our annual fund drive, fundraising events, corporate sponsors, and individual donations. Without the support of our donors, we simply would not be able to do what we do.

Every donation received is an investment in artistic excellence, youth training, and outreach opportunities. The Temple also provides employment for local and regional performers, musicians, and technicians. The impact that Temple patrons have on the surrounding restaurants and businesses in enormous.
