BOOK IT! EXPAND YOUR AUDITION REPERTOIRE
Sessions 1, 2 & 3 Ages 9-Adult Monday 4PM-5PM, 5PM-6PM, 8PM-9PM
Focus on continued exploration of developing singing and acting skills while building a
repertoire of musical theatre songs for audition purposes. This class continues building skills
for musical theatre song performance.

With a focus on musical theatre repertoire, students in this class learn proper body posture,
breathing techniques, voice projection and basic music theory skills as they create beautiful
music together.

With a focus on musical theatre repertoire, students in this class learn proper body posture,

PRIVATE VOICE LESSONS Ages 11-Adult
Private Voice Lessons focus on learning and understanding YOUR voice through establishing
good vocal technique – breath control, tone production, placement (what is that?), singing posture
and diction. Students will touch on music theory and sight singing. Students will also work
towards building an age-appropriate repertoire, performance skills, self-confidence and vocal
health as well as exploring different styles of music for a broad foundation of successful,
confident and fun singing.

ACTING
RISING STARS Ages 4-7 Tuesday 4PM-5PM
Come spend 8 weeks exploring fun stories and meet some new friends! Our Rising Stars will
begin to explore theatre by using their 3 acting tools (Body, Voice and Imagination). Students
will also learn basic musical theatre skills and engage in song and dance. A presentation of
their progress will be held on the final day of class, OCTOBER 31, 2023.

ACTING Ages 8-12 Saturday 11AM-12PM
Actors will learn the basics of acting, auditioning and working with scripts. This class is great
for younger artists who want to learn more about performing, as well as experienced actors
looking to improve their acting technique.

ACTING Ages 13-18 Saturday 10AM-11AM
Actors in this class learn in depth terminology, techniques and expectations of stage actors
through interactive theatre games, partner work and ensemble activities. A required class for
developing students and a fun refresher for experienced actors.

DANCE
JAZZ Ages 8-12 Saturday 1:30PM-2:30PM
Students will explore the principles of proper jazz technique. Students will focus on
placement and specificity of movement and will strive toward improved flexibility
and strength.

Students will explore the principles of proper jazz technique. Students will focus on

Students will explore the principles of tap and build upon skills while learning new steps.
Coordination, balance and musicality will be instilled along with an increase in speed, clarity of
sounds and weight shifting.

A limited number of need-based scholarships will be offered. Scholarship applications are
available online in the registration portal.
Please notify us of any accommodations or IEP that we may provide to make this a positive
experience for your child.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds (minus a $25 drop fee) will only be made if the student officially withdraws 7 or more
days before the start of a class. To officially withdraw, please email education@templeshows.org. If you withdraw from class less than a week prior to the start date, there are no refunds, but you can exchange your registration for another class for your student’s age level. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will have the option to switch into another class or receive a full refund. Upon enrolling, parents acknowledge that their child must attend every session and performance in order to participate. Parents pledge that their child has no conflicts with their Fall Academy schedule. Parents understand Temple Theatre will make every effort to ensure the safety of their child, but pledge they will not hold Temple Theatre liable for any injury or illness incurred while participating in any Fall Academy programs. All photographs of the participants during the duration of the Fall Academy are the property of Temple Theatre and may be published at the will of Temple Theatre. There are NO REFUNDS after the first day of Academy session.
